The JL com Group have not taken their success for granted and appreciated their year on year growth, extended their services to meet the demands and needs of their valued clients. JL com Group now offer a full range of property services that will support and maintain their client’s property portfolio to resolve and preserve every scope of services required.
The JL com Group management team have over 100 years of industry experience delivering sustainable solutions into commerce, health, government, education, hospitality, private, retail and leisure industries. The JL com Group are proud of what they have achieved and provide essential property services including: installations, pre-planned and reactive maintenance, with 24/7 around the clock service level agreements. JL com Group have divisional local teams with dedicated point of contacts to ensure they service clients needs. JL com Group work with education and industry to support their business infrastructure, as they drive forward and expand their business. JL com Group Training Academy - EXPANSION
- Corporate Responsibility
1) EDUCATION – The JL Academy is an educational “hands on” skilled based working centre that will bridge the gap between scholars (primary & secondary) students (college & universities) with industry and business.
The JL Academy will continue to work and expand their outreach with the local schools in the regions in which we serve. They believe early introduction to share the benefits of skill working is fundamental to industry, engagement and educating scholars highlights the opportunities that are available to them. The JL Academy approach shares knowledge and the benefits of what a career in skilled workforce can provide for their future.
JL Academy collaborate and engage with local colleges and universities to support the curriculum delivery of the institution, strengthening the educational experience with a hands-on approach. This enhances the students experience providing a full ‘one stop shop – turnkey’ with understanding to problem solving and solutions.
When we engage with our academic partners through college lectures we are told that the passion, insight and drive we deliver to students is valuable to their work and more importantly is seen as inspirational to the learner. We want to build on this and provide a local presence in the region that boosts the energy and commitment we have as a business going forward. The academy expansion would provide the benchmark on what we are looking to achieve around the country in local towns to support our business ethos and commitment to Industry.
2) INDUSTRY – The JL Academy is not just a training academy and logistics centre to support JL com Group business and workforce, but also provide innovative spaces, that can be used for all property and facility sector industries. It is an Academy of knowledge to share industry standards, best practice and current legislations, providing all year round training with workshops that address current regulations and legislations, with monthly accreditations for CPD seminars, workshops and brainstorming sessions to allow industry to share their experience to improve their knowledge, performance and output.
The expansion of the JL Academy will accommodate internal and external workshops, CPD and industry courses that will provide an open learning. The JL Academy will provide various industry booths set up within the area covering all the trade Jl Com currently offer. JL Com will provide Fire and security training / heating and water services / electrical and fabric works. The Academy will have the capacity to provide mock up fault scenarios to allow problem solving and fault finding along with small installation works that can be instructed by our highly skilled engineers.
JL com Group are currently in discussions with their supply chain to provide specialist training and equipment that we can look to deliver to both external sources along with college students.
The expansion to the JL Com academy will also encourage partnership with local education establishments to provide work-based experience with our office roles as well as the hands on within the training booths.
The JL con Group Academy & training centre will accommodate training space where JL com can provide presentations on projects that have been completed and the full process of specialised projects from start to finish.
We are looking to engage with Skills Development Scotland, SQA and City & Guilds to explore how we can help facilitate and support their objectives and grow the training facility to provide full accredited training to both business and public in all avenues of building services.
3) HEALTH – The effect of COVID -19 has had an impact on every business, institution, household, and community/ individual around the world.
As a business JL com Group have continued to work through this pandemic and expand business services as they support the needs clients within all sectors of the spectrum: government, commerce, retail, NHS and education. JL com know the importance to embrace change and ensure our facilities and clients properties are fit for purpose and provide a safe working environment for all staff, visitors, students, guests and patients.
The team at JL com value the importance of learning from challenging situations and will continue to work with staff and their business partners and clients to reduce the risks of infection and such viruses in the future.
JL Com Group will always partner with industry professionals, encouraging skills to come together to share their challenges and help educate and work with businesses to conquer obstacles going forward, delivering environmental spaces that are healthy and support physical and mental health.
4) COMMUNITY – At JL com are a well-respected and experienced team who provide services for every sector of industry, commercial and residential. It is their business declaration as a responsible business to support the needs of the communities where they work.
The JL Academy will be expanding their academy, this is organic growth to meet the demands and support the initiatives of government, council, education and beyond. We will look to provide an academy that is accessible 7 days a week to support SME/corporate business and education.
We will reach out further to our relationships and connections to engage with industry leaders and experts in property, pioneering leaders in their field. We want to expand and strengthen the awareness and connecting into research that brings “Multiple Minds” together, creating a better future for our community.
5) RESPONSIBILITY – JL Com will continue our on-going HNC lecture talks with colleges and universities, bonding with students around the country, sharing knowledge and working with Principals and lecturers to support students who seek a career in industry.
We recognise the lack of skilled work force who are coming through the ranks, leaving education with no real career pathway, we are committed to help lay that path. We will continue our student placements initiatives and Apprenticeship programs to gives individuals within our communities opportunity to shape their future and become successful, regardless to culture, race and ability – we will structure a way forward to motivate and rejuvenate their attitude.
